I have ten siblings, we were raised in North Ferrisburgh, Vt. I was educated in the Vermont public school system and graduated from the University of Vermont in 1978 with a degree in Political Science. While raising three children I served as a city letter carrier for the USPS from 1983 until retirement in 2014, and have been a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers AFL-CIO for over 30 years, holding a variety of offices including President of the Vermont State Labor Council AFL-CIO. I am currently President of Vermont State Association of Letter Carriers AFL-CIO. I am the first woman to hold either of these offices. I lead the effort to bring the Letter Carrier ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ Food Drive to Vermont in 1991. I serve as the Vermont coordinator for NALC Food Drive. I have a part-time job at a convenience store in Middlebury.
